On April 7, 2020, Attorney Adrian Terry provided a summary of the laws pertaining to the scheduling of a Special Election petitioned for by the citizens. This information was made available to the mayor and town council when it appeared the mayor was attempting to skirt state law and delay the special election until November 2020 (two and a half months past the state election requirements).
